Lyric Features

While traditional hearing aids capture and process sound outside of the ear, Lyric uses the natural anatomy of the ear to amplify and give you a full, natural listening experience.

How Lyric Works

The mechanical geometry of the Lyric core is stored safely inside soft, biocompatible foam seals that contour to the ear canal and ensure natural ventilation and stable placement. The battery is specifically designed to withstand the deep ear environment for months at a time. Lyric amplifies sounds using the natural mechanisms of the ear. The Lyric microphone and receiver further enhance this.

Because Lyric is placed in the ear canal near the eardrum by a trained professional, it is a 100% invisible hearing aid.

Lyric provides benefits unlike any other hearing aid for unrestricted living. It can be worn in the shower, while wearing a helmet for active, physical sports and with headphones in. And because you can wear Lyric while sleeping, once you wake up, you don’t have to put them in or turn them on like traditional hearing aids.

No Fuss

Once they are fit by a hearing care professional, they are designed to be worn 24 hours a day for months at a time. Better still, Lyric requires no maintenance or batteries to change or charge.

Initial sizing, placing and programming Lyric, combined with counseling, takes approximately one hour. Device replacement visits take approximately 10 minutes.

A broad size range consisting of 7 sizes – from XXS to XXL models – is available to comfortably fit as many different ear sizes as possible. The various sizes provide more client satisfaction and wearing comfort.3

24/7 Tinnitus Relief

An estimated 10–15% of a population has tinnitus but most cases go untreated.⁴ This is due to a lack of information and the fact that most IMG people are unaware of who will understand their condition or assist them. While some cases are minor, some require more specific treatment to overcome possible long-term effects. How Subscriptions Work

Lyric is sold through authorized Lyric Providers on a subscription basis. A subscription lasts 1 year — including replacement devices and servicing throughout the subscription period. Your HCP can provide you with further details about the length of the Lyric trial.

Each Lyric device can last for months at a time. This duration can vary, depending on the consumer and their individual ear conditions. However, unlike standard hearing aids — which need to be replaced — Lyric’s subscription model provides you with new devices on a regular basis.

Whenever you need a new Lyric, simply visit your provider. Your hearing care provider will fit you with a new in the ear hearing aid. Every replacement can be done in just a few minutes time.

There are no repairs or battery replacements needed, and you will receive technology updates as they become available.

Subscription costs are largely affected by where you live. You should also discuss payment options for a Lyric subscription with your hearing care provider. These may vary locally, and they will be happy to discuss them with you.

Every Lyric subscription comes with SoundLync, a magnetic adjustment tool that allows you to adjust the volume, turn Lyric on and off, and to put it in sleep mode. Lyric can also be removed, if needed, with SoundLync.

      Can consumers use their phone with Lyric?

      Yes, another benefit of Lyric is that it can be worn while talking on any phone. A benefit of Lyric is that you can use any type of phone without the need to connect or use Bluetooth. Headphones can be worn at the same time.

      Self-replacement

      Cut replacement time in half. Self-replacement is an optional procedure for clients to replace Lyric devices on their own. After assessing and training them, you accompany them during the entirety of their subscription, while continuing to check their ears on a regular basis. You then replace their Lyric devices every other time, while still providing a high level of care. The only change with self-replacement is a decrease in the frequency of in-clinic visits. This benefits you both and also frees you up to see additional clients.
