Can I use the myPhonak app simultaneously on two different smartphones?

The hearing aids can only maintain one connection to the myPhonak app at a time

It's not possible to have your hearing aids connected to the myPhonak app on two different devices at the same time. You need to disconnect the hearing aids from the app on one device to connect them to the app on another device.


If you often switch between two devices while using the app with your hearing aids, we recommend using the Disconnect button found in the Devices -> Connection Management section of the app to make transitions between the devices easier.

Technical background:

  • Each hearing aid can connect to one device via Bluetooth LE at a time
  • Each phone can connect to several devices via Bluetooth LE
  • myPhonak can connect to maximum two hearing aids via Bluetooth LE at a time
  • Each hearing aid can connect to one myPhonak app at a time
  • Each hearing aid can connect to myPhonak or physical Remote Control device but not at the same time as each is using Bluetooth LE connection and the hearing aid can handle only one Bluetooth LE connection at a time
